Gardners Lane Children's Centre, Cheltenham, is a Sure Start Children's Centre offering children under five and their families access to early education, health services, support and advice.

The centres are managed and funded through Gloucestershire County Council, Education Department. Children's centres in Gloucestershire are developing projects and are intended to bring services for children and families together, in line with the Every Child Matters outcomes www.dcsf.gov.uk/everychildmatters/ staying safe, being healthy, achieve economic wellbeing, making a positive contribution, enjoy and achieve.

Partnerships have been performed to enable the centre to deliver high quality services to meet family needs.

80 children are currently attending Gardners Lane Nursery unit, in addition 16 children with special need are integrated into the unit. 200 families are receiving family support in a variety of ways each week. 20 Children can attend our day care service.

Can I take this opportunity to thank you and all the staff in Day Care for providing such a warm and stimulating environment at Gardners Lane. Laurie has been extremely happy with you all and has often told us lovely stories about the different activities you have done. As you can imagine this is a great comfort when working to know your child is being taken such good care of.
